Akinbode Akinbiyi

The work of British photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi is full of the poetry of everyday life. He is fascinated by people—how they navigate their daily lives, creating safe and intimate spaces, and how they relate to the society that surrounds them. He wanders the streets of Bamako, Berlin, Cairo, Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Lagos, and other megacities, always armed with his Rolleiflex twin-lens reflex camera, ready to study social structures, uncover the hidden, and illuminate the obscure. The exhibition is curated by Ulrika Flink.
