Exhibition in the Auditorium at Karlsgatan 2

The exhibition of photographer Kjell-Åke Janssons was on view at Västerås konstmuseum during the time that the museum was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. During the summer 2021 the exhibtion will be on view again, in a new format.

The black and white photographic treasure by the local photographer Kjell-Åke Jansson was exhibited for the first time. Jansson was born in 1948 and grew up on Malmaberg, Västerås. During his life he has created personal portraits of people, places and environments in the city of Västerås and its surroundings. The exhibition focuses on motifs from Västerås in the period 1970-1990, along with a new series of pictures. Curator of the original exhibition was Ulrika Flink.
