Outlook – insight : perspectives on the collection 5.4 – throughout 2014 To look at the world around us , perhaps through a window or from a beautiful vantage point is something we all have enjoyed. In art we find many still outlooks – from a window , out across a landscape , to any close or distant . The view from a train window that quickly sweeps past can become an abstraction, a feeling or an idea . Aiming out and look at the world around us can provide an insight – a personal understanding of something else, secretly or openly . In view – insight , we highlight works from Vasteras Art Museum’s collection in different ways look outward – but also inward. In the exhibition we encounter classical landscapes and views from different times , but also abstracted images that have a sense of discovering another world brought.
